Description

Learn the basics of screen printing in this fun 3 1/2 hour workshop for beginners. After an introduction to screen printing and an explanation of the different methods used, students will turn their own artwork into a stencil, prepare a screen and print their designs.

Students will learn about ink colours and using different placements of their design to create a pattern.

No previous experience required.

PLEASE NOTE:  Screens are not pre prepared, students will be hand cutting their own stencils on the day using a craft knife. If you prefer a shorter class where screens are already prepared please see our social screen printing events.

This is an ideal workshop for anyone wanting to learn about screen printing and leave with the skills to continue printing at home or progress to a more advanced workshop.

The workshop length may vary slightly depending on the number of bookings.

Great fun to do something different. Love that you could use provided designs or make up your own so it was great for all levels :)

I really enjoyed my time at The Rizzeria. Kitty (our teacher) was very experienced and encouraging so I left the class with a beautiful stenciled bag and feeling confident that I could make more. It was a fun afternoon and certainly good value for the price.

What a great way to spend an afternoon. Kitti was a bubbly helpful teacher who showed a passion for screen printing. I had sent in a few stencils to use and she came back and offered alternatives as it is a beginner class and stencils can be tricky to cut out. Boy am I very thankful for her insistence in changing my stencils as the more basic ones we chose were hard enough to cut out :) The end result was just fabulous and I definitely have a love for the art now! Thank you so much for the great day
