Clay is a wonderful, tactile medium. Its three-dimensional nature forces kids to think about structure, shapes and forms.

This school-holiday workshop will allow them to experiment with a variety of building techniques while they learn to think about their ideas and adapt to change along the way. Every child will create something special, which will then get fired in the kiln.

The class size is limited, so every student will receive individual attention.

The class is designed for primary-school-aged children. Younger children are welcome to participate with parental assistance.

Tutor Sue Buckle is a ceramics artist and teacher who specialises in children's clay work. She directed a ceramics program in schools for 12 years and has taught children's clay workshops for 20 years.
